- EMI Shielded Polycarbonate Enclosures -
EMI = Electro-Magnetic Interference
Within the electronics industry in particular, enclosures need to be protected against either external electro-magnetic disturbances, or those caused by the equipment inside the enclosure which must be prevented from affecting external equipment. The inner surface of such enclosures is Nickel coated and a silver silicone gasket is used for sealing.
